Mariam Batsashvili wins 10th Liszt Competition

The Georgian pianist Mariam Batsashvili (1993) won First Prize at the 10th International Franz Liszt Competition. Second Prize went to Peter Klimo (1990, United States) and Third Prize went to Mengjie Han (1989, The Netherlands) The audience – at home and in the concert hall – voted for their favourite finalist via the Liszt Competition App. Mengjie Han (1989, The Netherlands) received the Capgemini Audience Award. 

During the Finale Gala evening in the Main Hall of TivoliVredenburg, attended by Her Majesty Queen Máxima, the three Finalists performed their orchestra programme with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by James Gaffigan.
