Elena Gurina

Competitor 10th International Franz Liszt Competition

Elena Gurina studied at the Kaliningrad Music College with Vladimir Slobodyan. She continued her education at the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory with Professor Igor Lebedev. She has attended masterclasses with Vladimir Feltsman, Irina Osipova and Emanuel Krasovsky, among others. Elena Gurina was laureate of various competitions, including the International Competition ‘Gradus ad Parnassum’ in Kaunas, Lithuania in 2007 and the Maria Yudina International Piano Competition in St. Petersburg in 2013. In 2011 she was Quarter Finalist of the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition (Utrecht). In June 2014 she won First Prize at the Internationaler Wettbewerb “ Musikalisches Feuerwerk in Baden-Württemberg”. Aside from Russia, she has performed in Germany, Poland, Finland and Denmark, among other countries.
