Jiuming Shen

Competitor 10th International Franz Liszt Competition
Jiuming Shen started his piano studies in Shanghai with Zi-Jie Wu and Dan Shao and continued at the Curtis Institute of Music with Seymour Lipkin. Nowadays he takes lessons from Ory Shihor at the Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles. He has attended masterclasses with Peter Frankl, Leon Fleisher, Emanuel Ax, Gary Graffman, Jerome Rose and Jonathan Biss, among others and chamber music lessons with Ida Kavafian, Jungeon Kim and Lisa Kaplan. Jiuming Shen regularly participates in international competitions. In 2012 he won First Prize at the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition in New York, resulting in a performance in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. Aside from the United States, he has performed in China and Australia.
