Simon Graichy

Competitor 10th International Franz Liszt Competition

Simon Ghraichy studied at the Conservatory of Paris with Michel Béroff and Daria Hovora and simultaneously at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki with Tuija Hakkila. He won prizes at various competitions, such as the Manuel M. Ponce Piano Competition in Mexico, the Torneo Internazionale di Musica in Rome, and the Cziffra Foundation in France. He has given solo recitals in Musée d’Orsay in Paris, Vredenburg Leeuwenbergh in Utrecht and during the Crossing Keyboards Festival in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. He was a soloist with orchestras such as the Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Brazilian Symphony Orchestra and the Almaty Symphony Orchestra. In 2013 he re-leased his CD Always in Motion with transcriptions and paraphrases of Liszt.
