Master ClassesThe Liszt Competition Foundation regularly organizes International Piano Master Classes with prominent pianists and piano teachers. These master classes have already taken place in Utrecht as well as in New York, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo and Seoul.
Master Class Paul Badura-Skoda 2010
On June 1st and 2nd, 2010 the Liszt Competition came to the Moscow Tchaikowsky Conservatory with the venerable piano pedagogue Paul Badura-Skoda.
Liszt Junior Academy
In May 2010 the Liszt Competition organized it's first Liszt Junior Academy. By offering proper and targeted assistance, the Liszt Competition intends to help unusually gifted 13- to 17-year-old pianists from all over the world prepare during this important phase in their development. A full overview and details of this Junior Academy can be found here. In 2009 Liszt specialist Andrea Bonatta gave two master classes on Liszt's piano music. In April a masterclass tour took place in Asia. In October he gave a series of master classes during the 3rd Liszt in Vredenburg Festival.

Master Class Tour Jacques Rouvier, China 2007
At the invitation of the Franz Liszt Piano Competition, well-known French pianist and piano pedagogue Jacques Rouvier has given a series of master classes in China from 20 to 27 April 2007. The master classes are intended as a warm-up for the 8th International Franz Liszt Piano Competition, 2008.
The master class tour was held in cooperation with three important Chinese conservatories: the Guangzhou Xinghai Conservatory, the Central Conservatory of Music Beijing and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
Master Classes Dr. Leslie Howard, Utrecht 2007
Renowned pianist Dr. Leslie Howard has given a Liszt Piano Master Class in Vredenburg Utrecht on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 April 2007. Talented students from the Netherlands have participated in the master class. Leslie Howard and several selected pianists have performed on Thursday 12 April in the Philharmonie Haarlem.
The Master Class was organized by the Liszt Competition together with the Young Pianist Foundation (YPF) and was used as part of the preparations for the 8th International Franz Liszt Piano Competition.
Master Classes Dominique Merlet, Utrecht 2006
As part of the 2nd Franz Liszt in Vredenburg Festival 2006 the Liszt Competition organised an International Piano Master Class with French pianist and pedagogue Dominique Merlet.
Young prize winners of prominent international piano competitions have participated. On the programme were works by Franz Liszt and other composers.
Master Classes Leslie Howard, New York 2006
In March 2006, the Liszt Competition Foundation organised in cooperation with Yamaha / Liszt series an International Piano Master Class with Dr. Leslie Howard. Christiaan Kuyvenhoven, Third Prize winner of the last Liszt Competition (2005) was one of the participants.
