The S-numbers are taken from the Searle catalogue as entered in The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, and as updated in Short/Howard F. Liszt – List of Works (Rugginenti). The Liszt Competition Foundation recommends that participants use the Neue Liszt Ausgabe (Editio Musica Budapest) wherever possible.
