Andrea Bonatta is one of the most outstanding Italian pianists and a successful conductor. He recorded the complete piano work by Brahms getting top critical reviews and wrote a book about Brahms which is considered a milestone in this field. As a conductor he has worked with important orchestras in Europe and Asia. Bonatta has been jury member of the most prestigious international competitions, serving also as Chairman at the Busoni and at the Cleveland Competition. He is Guest Professor at the Summer Academy Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Talent Music Master Courses in Brescia. He has been a jury member of the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition on four previous occasions and is currently a member of the Artistic Advisory Committee as well.

Besides the International Piano Competition held every three years, the Liszt Competition also hosts a number of other concerts and events.
