Joop Daalmeijer

Joop Daalmeijer is the non-voting chairman of the International Jury of the Liszt Competition for the second time. Daalmeijer has been chairman of the Netherlands Council for Culture since 2011. Before that, his posts included acting managing director of the NTR, managing director of the Dutch Programme Foundation and editor-in-chief of Radio Netherlands Worldwide. Daalmeijer began his career as a journalist and later worked as a presenter for Dutch TV stations VARA and Veronica. Daalmeijer is currently a member of the Flanders-Netherlands Cultural Treaty Commission and of the Supervisory Board of Free Press Unlimited.

Besides the International Piano Competition held every three years, the Liszt Competition also hosts a number of other concerts and events.
